Wow - that was a long night at the barn. Got the rear shocks done, but struggled with getting the nearside one off, without removing the caliper. Finally got it don,e and the replacement went in much easier. The offside rear ALSO gave me hassles, and i had to move the caliper out of the way to get the bolt at the bottom of the shock out. After that, removing it was easy, and replacement was a breeze.
I like the way she sits now. After a drive she'll settle a little more, and now I can get her alignment done.

She should be a much smoother ride now too.
As I liked the LEDs that Nick has under the bonnet of his Soarer, I decided I wanted some on my Prelude as well (they're the same that I have in my boot and interior of the car). As I had a spare set, Nick went ahead and fitted them. They work really well. They connect to a switch that Nick put through the plastic fusebox cover inside the engine bay, and we ran the cables through the inside of the bonnet best we could, so as to keep it tidy. Most of the light on the engine bay in the picture below is from the LEDs, so great for when working on the engine
Also, as the braided brake lines and silicone radiator hoses I bought are blue, we decided to experiment with some blue paint inside the engine bay as well.
I also took some pictures of the interior LEDs to better show how they look and the light they provide. I'm really impressed with these LEDs
When I got the MOT done recently, the guy commented that rear brakes were fine, but a little weak compared to front. While swapping shocks, I noticed that the calipers do seem to require a bit of a good cleaning, and probably some regreasing / resealing. May look into getting some reconned ones from EuroCarParts, as they refund me for my old ones.
