Re: White BB4 JDM 2WS UPDATE 17/03/16 LCA BOLT PROBLEM :(

yeah i should have forked out for a ball joint removal tool and made my life easier  so glad its off and I managed to remove the drokked bolt from the arm this morning :D

I tired hitting it with a hammer but I couldn't hit it hard enough at the right spot.. maybe I just needed a bigger hammer :)

bit of an update on the prelude.

I fitted a ATR drive shaft and a new cv joint to the passenger side so that cured the vibration I was getting at high revs. For the first time in 3 months I was able to drive the car properly in vtec and it was fast! I knew with the bad driveshaft I wasn't going to push the car.I also got a hold of a type s airbox with a k&n filter so that's on the car now aswell. The little bit of rust is all gone and fixed.my frost white paint has arrived so Its just waiting in white primer on a good day for finishing the painting.

Got the ITR wheels on too but I will be spraying them gun metal grey instead of the white.painted all the calipers silver so its looking very fresh! the tyres are 205/55/15 so its slightly too big on the ITR wheels but I will be changing them for 195/50/15 when they are all worn out.still looks fine though and I ll be looking for lowering springs soon even a 40mm drop would be suitable.

Looking very tidy lewis, same was with my Bb4 when first bought the drivers cv was gone big time, the car just wanted to go right too all day, nothing like that first hassle free spin in it once done 8-)
sweet
The wheels are a great addition and when the height drop happens it will be 8-) .

Seen a set of these rims for sale recently, cheap too just wonder why more don't go for them,i tend to end up with 17's on all my cars but these don't show up all that bad at 15's.

Are the original sawblades 15's?

Yeah but it feels brilliant turning into a corner with no * click click click when its done :) my other side is gone aswell so that's the next job.Yeah the wheels are great and there very light.it will look better when I have refurbished them in gum metal grey

seems suspension for preludes are expencive and hard to come across so I will end up buying the springs and I ll fit them to my original shocks.Yeah the sawblades are my original wheels but they are in my shed doing nothing now.I think I ll sell them cheap.I ll need to go check out how your preludes getting on :)

Thats it mate just fit the springs for the drop,i got King springs on my Bb4 matched with KYB shocks and although the height is near stock the ride is very nice, stiff and determined when called on and very comfy.

The more sets of wheels the better, just like women and their shoes

today I went up to crail raceway for banzai and gave the lude a good 3 runs down the strip.I was the only prelude there! bare in mind the car is completely stock apart from the type s intake and the powerflow catback.Had a race against an accord type r with good mods was close but it was a few inches infront of me the whole way so it was quite even.Hoping to get a full 2.5" exhaust system for the prelude to give it a little more power.the lsd box came in very handy!

heres an action shot just before I lined up against the accord!

I also painted the bottom part of my rear quarter panels in frost white and it turned out really well
