Lude's look lovely. I love the gold coast too. So clean and full of fitties.

Speedometer gauge dismantled and the fading can be easily seen now :(

A permanent Black marker has crossed my mind too  .

Not sure what to do tbh,on the hunt for a replacement which i can just swap over my odometer reading to now if i get a higher reading one now i can see the inners and how to.

No idea what is causing the speedo needle to hover at 20kms on idle though still.

Easter deadline for test has slipped but the car got full new wiper blades and oil and filter are waiting there to go on.

You can (or used to be able to?) buy replace after market dial faces? On eBay?

,d

Yeah wurly i have looked but didn't turn up much on searches, seen a few through the years for various Honda's but struggling now.
At present i am just going to put it all back in for the test and hope the needle issue will correct after a bit of a drive as it's only seen as far as 15 kmph round the block so i'm hoping it's just a cobweb needing blowing or a taste of Vtec 8-)

I cleaned up the dials and put some Autoglym Tyre dressing on for a sparkle, lets say they have a 10% improvement  .

Must have got some serious sun or had been running extra hot bulbs or the driver was a headlight on all the time owner, never seen this before.

Anyways i got bored and had a mess with some cf wrap and done this

Image

This cover has tension cracks and has split but been reglued, was on the Bb4 but i failed to make allowances for the lip when i installed them and yes i forced them in been lazy but looking good for the soon to be daily, just need to colour in the arch part.

No waste when you have 2 of the same cars!

*Disclaimer-Not a fan of these cf wraps in general and i know it's a dying trend but if something can come out better at the other then feel free

Bit of a tumbleweed but just been waiting to acquire some parts to do together.

Went from snapped antenna Image

To stubby antenna and a few more kilos shed losing motor and ancillaries!
Image

Looks erm?? ok,prefer a tilt S2K style but it's there and tight and pickups up good fm cheap as a piece of stick with a wire but some bling CF effect :o ,will try get back to oem eventually as the car has half mast option, you know the button you press when bored at the lights

Job for Saturday
Image

Then it's pretty good for testing, just putting speedo back in and some more small degreasing needed and thats all i can forsee till it's inspected, cant be much left to do,only one way to find out though.

Dash back in and the started it up and wahey the speedo needle is resting back at 0 kmph, sometimes it's good to take things apart.
Got some Blue leds in for backlighting and they do the job nicely compared to the old ones, the faded dials don't look as bad i think.
Fresh!well for 24yrs old instruments Fresh!
