Time for an update on my Type-S..
I had to have the car off road as some of you know I recently got married, moved in to a new property and was just generally trying to save up some money for the monies I used on my weddings/parties. I could have sold the car like would most do but I decided to keep it and just have it back on road when I could. At least that way I don't have to look for another Type-S and do all the mods that I wanted to do.
So now, it's been off the road since 28th May 2015. I did give it a wash few times during the times it was on my driveway (simple jet wash with snow foam) just to keep the dirt from building up. And I did take it out for a spin around the road to free up the brakes etc.
Be prepared to see some disturbing picture of the car. I'm just putting up the current pics of the car as it stands so I can compare to what kind of clean/restoration I achieve at the end. I'll try and do all the little things I needed to do while the car is parked up.
Car how it sits on the drive:
Carbon Fibre bonnet: White spots on the bonnet. And some of you might remember that at Japfest my bonnet got caught in the wind while I let the car cool down after the track session and it cracked the hinges so I had to put some black tape there to cover up the cracks.
Door moulding: Some green moss/algae started growing there. Can be easily cleaned with some hot water and some polishing with exterior trim polish.
Petrol cap: I don't even know why this is so dirty..
Rear wiper: Might need re-srpaying in black and new wipers.
Rear of the car: Just generally dirty, cobwebs and green moss near the rear screen moulding.
Engine bay: Cobwebs and lots of gathering of dirt.
Wheels/Tyres: Still not sure if I'm going to put the OEM Type-S wheels back on or I'm refurbing the wheels to OEM silver colour. But there is some minor kerbing on the lip of the wheels. Some surface rust on the brake discs too.
Interior: My interior is always been mint but the only thing I need to clean is some minor mould that grew near the door card on the driver side. Seat belt has some white spots too. And I recently acquired some red mats from Mills but they need some clean.
Final picture of the front end of my S. (yes my number plate is a little bit bent)

And after all these things, I just need to get the polisher out and give it a good clean/polish/wax. I am not sure if I will attempt to give the engine a wash/clean as I'm scared about getting water in the wires so that will be at the end of the things to do list.
