missing lamps in the dash
Inside your car, there is an interior. Talk about it here
missing lamps in the dash

i took my clock cluster off last night to check on the bulbs (the speedo lights up very dim) and i found that some of the indicator / warning bulb holders are missing - are 5g's supposed to have a light in every lamp, or does it depend on the spec?

It depends on the model so if you have 4ws on your lude them i would check for 4ws and ABS bulbs. These would be the most likely to have been removed. Let us know what you find.

this is a growing problem, if you have brought a car recently check the warning lights, warning lights are now an mot failier so unscrupulas sellers often remove bulbs before an mot

i tried to hold it up to the light but couldn't really see through. i'll try again with a torch this week.
I've definitely got the ABS lamp as i found it was on this morning on the drive to work
but then when i arrived, i turned the car off and then turned the ignition back on and it lit up but then went out, so hopefully it's not a problem.
yeah i need this sorted before the MOT (along with putting the CAT back on) as it's coming up in June.
i guess i could just have a look to buy some more bulb holders and see what happens when i put them in...

yeah there are definitely missing lamps when i put the ignition on. i can't remember if 4ws and CEL light up or not - i'll try to take a pic. car is a standard UK 2.2 vti.
i guess it's easy just to go from left cluster to right cluster and fill in the gaps with bulb holders from other locations just to see what the situation is.
vanzep, that might come in useful - cheers. i'll let you know asap
