)Rather than do something positive like start putting it back together though, I decided that the front end looked like jobby and needed some work
It's had a hard life before I owned it I think, had a minor bump on the front before and had lived in Scotland so will have had some harsh winters/lots of salt
(not the worst of it - didn't take many 'before' pics)
So after taking the car apart some more
and a day with a screwdriver, manual wire brush and then a wire brush attachment on a drill...

At this point it was time to slap some bilt hamber deox gel on it.
And then 24 hours later...
(I didn't bother with clingfilm, a) because it was a pita, b) because with the weather last weekend, it was more likely to freeze than dry out

Washed it off
So basically, all the purely surface stuff it had eaten clean off
but the pitted stuff was still manky looking.Soooo...
Yep, that meant even more slop applied...
(You get the idea).
By the time I see it next, that will have been on there for 7 days
