i suppose its what your used to an M2b4 is going to be better than an open diff on the road but on the track wont be lsd enough to make a huge difference on the track.

Thats the difference between a sports coupe and a track focused car M2B4-U2Q7

Another Track 4th gen - New brakes, Weigh bridge result :)

Post by Thebusofwoe » Fri Mar 25, 2016 7:34 pm

Hey up guys. Hope everyone is well. :D

So got time today to replace the worn out rear brakes and fit the ds2500 pads on the front. So Pagid rear discs and Stop Tech track Rear pads where fitted. I had already fitted new front discs a while ago so just swapped over to the new Ferodo DS2500 track pads. :) :D

As you can see, the ebc yellow stuff pads and ebc discs didnt really fair up too well under very hard conditions :? but they still worked when needed.

New stuff on :)

Image

Also got the front pads fitted, went for a drive to get it all bedded in and wow, what a mental set of brakes.

Then i got it on the weigh bridge at my mates work. Couldnt wait to see how heavy she was. :P

Image

And the result? . . . . . . . . . . . . 1160kg. Was over the moon as i was expecting 1200kg or more. That was with about 20ltrs or so of fuel on board.

So here she sits as of now, also with her new sun strip rocking the custom Nankang tyres logo 8-) 8-)

Next is to strip some more dash out, carpet, sound deadening, sterio and speakers and tidy some bits up in the engine bay, relocate the clutch resivoir, fit the type s cams and fit a bumper scoop vent for the CDA.

Cheers guys :)

Another Track 4th gen - Clutch resivoir relocation

Post by Thebusofwoe » Sun Apr 03, 2016 9:33 pm

Not very exciting, its more for the record than anything  but i have managed to finally relocate the clutch resivoir. Ive been meaning to do this since i fitted the front strut brace as the resivoir then cant be put back in its original place :? and it was banging around a bit. So ordered some oem fabric braided black oil/fuel hose (id 6/7mm, 1 metre) from ebay and got to work.

Remove the resivoir and its short piece of hose and try and work out a suitable place that doesnt req much modification to mount it to. So i removed some metal from the back of the mounting bracket and found that the best place is by the fuel filter. So i bent the bracket, removed the right hand fuel filter housing bolt (10mm) and slot the resivoir bracket in and bolt it back up. Looks perfect and oem, and has plenty of access. Anyway heres some pictures.

Removed it from this position.

New pipe from master cylinder.

Bracket modified and fitted into the fuel filter clamp.

And thats where it sits. It looks oem and is perfectly functional. Just tucked the hose in behind some pipes and brackets so should stay put. Well happy with that little mod. :D :D

Cheers guys.
