Nothing like getting stuck into the cleaning ;)
Are you going to keep the facelift chromey headlights/amber front indicators and black nostrils?
Mine was the same when i got it just one donor car later and some wardrobe sampling made me swap them but they look good either way especially on a clean lude!
I was there too when i bought mine, the waterpump failed so thought i would give it a go,got all the parts from Rockauto/KS and failed after 2 Saturdays trying to get the crank bolt off,a tow later and $400 and she was done,i just ran out of time and knuckleskin and it's my daily too, still it's worth a try, would have loved a fellow owner to help too as it was all new to me,maybe next time.
Yeah I ll be keeping the lights and grill the way it is.I am more trying to take care of every other job  I need to replace the steering rack gators also but that's a cheap fix.I need to find a decent set of wheels too cause my current tyres are hearly done and I don't want to keep the stock wheels I think.

ahhh man,was the crank bolt that bad?! that's the nightmare you don't want to happen.400 bucks isn't bad though for the job! over in Australia the cars seem to have not much rust aswell which is awesome! Yeah would be good to have a help with these kinda jobs but I think I ll pay the money and put it to a good mechanic.

I spend 8 hours today removing the rear suspension and cleaning it,felt more like 8 days but that's one side done and I am happy with it.All the bolts were removed from the rear arms, the trailing arm was also removed to waxoil the sills better and the sills are mint! :D and I even removed the bolts on the back of the hub and cleaned and greased them so no rust issues to ever think about.gave it a coat of waxoil again and its looking fresh.

Nice work!

Not easy under the car like that. I would put some big wooden blocks under it as extra safety..

The other side will go faster i recon. you know the sequence now!
you like waxoil right :D

Looks great, well done 8-)
Jobs like that are utterly jobby to do - filthy, uncomfortable, nightmare with everything seized in place.
