Okay Gentlemen, feast yer eyes on these photos. We did a test fitting of the wheels and tyres yesterday just to see how they looked and that the size I was after, wouldn't cause any chafing issues.
They used a 205/50x16 tyre (just a sample) and everything worked fine. I've ordered Michelin Pilot SP3's as they seem to have rave reviews as a summer tyre.
Anyway, here's a couple of shots from the tyre garage yesterday.
Apologies for Jason's arse hogging the shot, but the fronts are not catching anywhere.

Also looked fine and dandy on the rear.

This is also a nice result, the wheels are flush with the arches which I really love.

So, we've ordered the tyres and the locking wheel lugs, which we should be getting by the end of this week. On my day off on Monday, Jason's letting me have a corner of his workshop so I can give the arches, calipers, springs and shocks a damn good clean before we put the newly Michelin shod, wheels on. Can't wait. Obviously, once all is done on Monday, and after we've been to the alignment centre, I'll take some more photos and put them up to share with you all.

Good stuff. They are sexy wheels
Did you check the back with load OK (to simulate squashed suspension on bumps) and with 4ws turned, to be sure all was OK no rubbing?

Hi Iain, thanks for your comments. Yes, we did a lots of tests and up, down, loaded, unloaded (Jason got in the boot at one point) every which way you can think of, but in all the excitement we didn't take that many photos of us actually doing those things.

Thanks Nathan. I'm just itching to get everything on. Fingers crossed, it'll be Monday afternoon at the latest.

Thanks to you all for the positive comments on the wheels and also my ultra shiny car. Yes, it's true I have no friends and no real life, I spend all my free time washing, waxing and polishing her to within an inch of her life.
And honest, there was no Photoshoply (thanks Nathan), I think the light was just right when I took that shot. I used his phone camera so given my limited photographic skills, I just pointed and shot. If you think it looks sexy in the tyre garage, just wait till Monday when it's new boots and panties all round. (Showing my age there aren't I?)
Thanks again everyone, stay tuned till Monday...
