The paint has come off, but they are not great. Bit of sun fading and a few dents. But not too bad.wurlycorner wrote:Yep, nice bargain, well done![]()
Will the silver spray on the centre caps clean up properly back to the original blue?

Re: Im back but in a mk1 CR-X
Spent time inspecting and cleaning my mugen alloys today. Some good points and some bad. The wheel finish was atrocious, badly sprayed and flaking off and were in a bad cosmetic condition.

Lots of corrosion on the inside too

A little bit of heat applied?

Oh this is why!

And a small flat spot.

But nothing too bad.
The lips are good and have no kirbing.
Oops another weld.

With the wheels inspected and tbh fairly straight forward I have now sand blasted them. Removing all old paint and corrosion.

I think this is where the misunderstanding in the other thread has come from, Sam is a rexist, not a racist
Nice motor though Sam, they handle like go carts. I always fancied the later 160bhp vtec model, another car i never bought but wish i had.
Not a big fan of the Mugen wheels personally, look a bit too euro for me. But i guess they score scene points.
