I got rid of the fluid transfer you still have when you loop the powersteering lines.
I removed the pump and reservoirs .
Still had some slack and resistance in the lines.
By doing the modification richy did you take it to a complete manual steering rack, removing the transfer unit and locking the directional valve.
Take a few minutes to read this page and you will understand:

no.. lighter than before..mercutio wrote:isnt that going to be really heavy on the steering now
I had the lines looped, was constandly moving fluid trough a few small lines back and forth. This is removing the slack and piston/fluid resistance.
I will let everyone know If i notice the difference while driving.

Yes I believe so. But I don't think it matters.Merlin wrote:David is this car a non-ABS BB4?
Wait for me to drive an test it. Maybe it doesn't feel right or I decide to modify a few bits.

Oooo ok your not talking about the steeringrackMerlin wrote:Non-ABS cars use the 15/16" brake master cylinder. I swapped my one for a 1" brake master cylinder from an ABS Prelude and I felt an improvement. The amount of fluid moved through the pedal stroke is reportedly 12% more with the 1" Vs the 15/16"

I am planning that swap when I change my brake setup. Do not want to take it apart now.
When I have decided what setup I will have a look at it.
Also interested in a new willwood pedalbox.
Will have to remove the engine and re-do all my brake lines anyway so why not step it up. It will remove the brake booster so curious how thats gonna feel..

The fuel surge tank and bosch 44 pump are installed.
Just need to hookup the pump and test it under pressure.
Will need to fit a firewall to close the boot according time attack rules.
What do you guys think?
