Re: I don't know why it still has 4 Hub...

Post by woOtSalami » Wed Jan 13, 2016 10:36 pm

I will tell you know why things are the way they are...

The Prelude was purchased January 2011. It was my second car bone stock like I mentioned (one of the pictures above is near this shape). Since then I wanted to have more power in the future. Over the next 2 and a half year I planned the things have done some things already like the coilovers, color of the rims and the sound system.
2014 I started with the swap to a H22a naturally aspired. I teared apart all the parts and reassembled the Motor with a buddy of mine but the luck was not on my side and the motor lasted not even 2000km :(
(because the engine builder did not flush the motor properly!) Ok all from the start again at the end of 2014 I had a car in mint condition with a drokked up motor so I decided to go insane and went for the JRSC. This time I don't wanted to do this by myself and decided to let it get fixed in Poland. I will keep it short now because it would literally take too much time to go in details this much.
- I never seen the JSRC Kit live
- I don't speak a little word polish
- I trusted a buddy that it is fine
- It turned out to be jobby!
I got the car tuned and "running" but as some of you know I had massive problems with the belt which shredded himself every third day... Today (13th of January 2016) I finally know why I still have some alignment problems... They just torqued a 5th gen JRSC Kit on a 4th gen Power Steering bracket and pump. The JRSC P/S bracket alignes like jobby and I need to get Pictures of the pulleys and which "spacers" are between for perfext alignment

So today I finished to rip off all the parts that will get a treatment for this season :)

Updates, Modifications will be:

- Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle body 68mm
- Hondata S300 v3
- Hondata 4Bar Map Sensor
- AEM Fuel Rail
- Injectors cleaned, tested and adjustment + new Sealed
- Modify the Intake tubing (custom fab)
- Port match the S-tube of the JRSC
- some porting on the Intake Manifold (removing the Butterfly and making one big hole instead)
- EGR Removal
- Removing of all stuff which have to do with the vacuum system

and last but not least a new Street tune :)

Pictures from today:

It's really a pain in the ass to unmount the Intake...

They're like buses these JRSCs!

Lovely tastefully modded lude, just awesome.

You've made some good numbers on just the 9psi pulley. Is that 270bhp and nearly 210 lbft torque?

I wonder how much those cams might be hurting the setup though. A good description of my understanding of Turbo vs Supercharger cams:

"A turbo cam will have more intake duration than exhaust and a blower cam with have more exhaust duration than intake. Both cam types tend to run wider lobe angle separation angles (LSA) to reduce/prevent valve overlap which is not a good thing which such huge pressure difference between the exhaust and intake side.

Shorter exhaust duration on the turbo cam increases exhaust velocity which helps spool up the turbo.

Longer exhaust duration on the blower cam helps the engine get rid of the extra gases from a pressurized intake cylinder fill."

How come you went for these, or did the build have another intention and then you picked up the JRSC?

Either way it's still awesome and some more inspiration. 8-)

Buses... They are like Jets! :D I am louder at WOT than any Golf R32 with aftermarket exhaust

Thanks for the flowers!

Yes the Numbers which you see are correct. But the one thing what is not correct is the 9psi! I had a leak on the JRSC at the Dyno so I assume it was less than 9.

Anyway with the new Setup this year and the re-tune I am expecting a bit more. Target is 300bhp and 310nm.

About the Cam's you nailed it buddy! I was exactly thinking the same that a Turbo Cam is not suitable for a supercharger... Because we need to keep in mind that it still behaves like a sort of N/A motor.

Anyway I was in a really long discussion with brian crower and the told me I should go with the turbo cams...

Let's see what the re-tune will bring.

I still need some decent pictures of the jackshaft with mounted adapter plate and the jackshaft pulley (alternator side) So if someone can help I would really appreciate this :jdm:
