Two cars meet in a narrow lane ...
... so what I've been doing today is pricing up some repairs:-

Not visible are the broken track rod and some torn plastics. It's all fixable, at about £150-200 for second-hand parts. This is somewhere between a third and a half of what the car's worth.

I'm not sure I can be bothered. I was going to sell the car, anyway.

Prelude x2, ATR x1, Teg x1... That was as far as I was aware your honda ownership went?

Oh, it's a coupe I bought a while back as a donor for the Teg, but I was talked out of using its Y7 engine*. I was going to sell it on, but it's actually been super reliable, smooth and cheap to run, so it rapidly staked its claim to being the family hack.

* [I bought another car for its engine instead - so actually had 2 civics in the fleet for a week or so ...]

Due to needing some unplanned dosh for the Civic, I had to pull out of an exhaust purchase off this forum. The temporary repair is going to have to last a bit longer, so we gave it a good hot test today. (The problem was the loss of the oval plate on the top of the downpipe straight section after all.)

A food can shaped with tin snips, Gun Gum and a couple of hose clips seem to have done the job for the time being.
