Nothing ever goes smoothly with a build of this nature though, eh?

Went for a 50 miles drive yesterday.. In traffic, slight drizzle.. It was kinda interesting.. Almost scary especially when it got dark and my windshield was dirty , wipers old and no wiper fluid ...
Have a small list of things to do but its drives well.

Seat needs to go fwd and need to shorten the steering rod.
The boost doesn't come in till about 4700 rpm and is full ( now 12 psi on wastegate spring) when the VTEC hits.. So spinning the tires straight away. It's gonna be a hand full..

Can't wait to get behind the wheel again!
First a few weeks in the Caribbean and then improve on wet days and drive when the weather is good.

Put some plans on hold again.. Just need to drive first!
Later boys and girls :D

Need to run it in first before it goes to the dyno again.
So then it will be setup right.
Took it out for a drive again saturday. even in the dry I smoke thie tires in 1-2-3rd when the boost and VTEC kick in at the same time. Really dont think its suitable for the track.. but i will give my tuner a chance to make it work.
Its runs way way to cold. Didnt install the oil thermostat yet so the oil doesnt goet above 55 drg C and water temp sticks at 70 C.. will tape the intake so no ait goes in the cooler fow now.

in the meanwhile I am improving things in the drivers compartiment, seat has to go fwd so shortend the steeringwheel adapter and ordered a flat steering wheel instead of the deep one I have now.

Will have to find a safe way to mount the seatbrackets without having to completely redo the floorbeams..
Horn button is now mounted on my dash.. broke the momentarely switch so have an on/off switch installed now.. wich is fun... beeeeeeeeeeeeep... ordered a new one.
Will pick up my new carbon bonnet as soon as I find a car/van I can borrow..

Been doing some stuff...

Shortened the steeringwheel adapter and got myself a flat steeringwheel. Moved my seat forward so my left leg wouldn't be fully extended when operating the clutch. drives perfect now.
Lots of rattles during the drive but I am pretty comfortable.
Ended up in a traffic jam the last bit of my run.. stop & go is an absolute bitch with that clutch...
Everytime i backed off and just kept ik running in idle in first gear some @$$#ole changed lane in front of me and braked..

Drove about 100 miles today.
Various loads and keeping low RPM . still the wheelspin sometimes but try not too.
The way people look at me is priceless...

This is at my parents driveway..

Still haven't got a good video from my dash cam. I filmed this from my computerscreen as a teaser.. but obviously not driving it full.

Guess the speed I was doing when I backed off..... :D

It pulls like mad.. Took a friend for a little drive, he couln't believe how fast it was already :ugeek:

more to come soom!

that the only comment? ;)
Miles/hour? Bit more.. But one thing is clear.. Need a longer final drive... Will top out on the straights very quickly ..
Especially if I double the pressure..

bummer...

Was adjusting my valve clearence and noticed my timing beld had a little slack when I turned the crank..
Did a few checks and its way too loose..
Tried adjusting it by loostening the bolt but its not helping..

Guess the only way is to take everything appart and have a look whats wrong..
Ordered a KS tuned manual tensioner incase I want to convert it back to the H22 but without the autotensioner.

any thoughts?

here is a video:
