Yep and what does the coolant in the rad look/smell like?

I've no idea, how would I check that?

Head gasket would (normally) lead to over-pressuring of the cooling system and steam/sweet smell from the exhaust when warm.
Oil cooler wouldn't cause either of those things.

yeah chances are its just condensation from the engine not getting hot enough for it to evaporate off properly it needs either a decent long run or at the very least leaving it running for a good while

Well it's been stud about 2 months now due to a re-spray which took ages then mot failed so it's not had a good run for I'd say nearly 3 months only thing it's had is small start ups and moving out of other cars way

I bet that would be it buddy clean the cap run the engine and leave it to run for a good while make sure its good and hot before you switch it off so a good 15 to twenty minutes
