Specifically to go on my ATR motor (h22a7)

Please PM if you might have something interesting

the 2 piece is designed to cope with the metal expansion contraction a one piece will expand and contract just as much as the 2 piece just at a little higher temp but once it starts it might expand more

The issue I had with the Fidanza was that it got too hot, expanded too much, and slackened the pressure plate bolts leading to flywheel / pressure plate separation. Forged steel is more resistant to heat. I ditched alloy wheel nuts for this reason too.

I have not abused my fidanza fly like you track day wankers have but I supercharged abused it a lot. And around 20k miles on it without issues.
Even when we took it off for new clutch I touched myself with it.......abuse....it took it.

but if they are different materials the rates and amounts will differ.mercutio wrote:the 2 piece is designed to cope with the metal expansion contraction a one piece will expand and contract just as much as the 2 piece just at a little higher temp but once it starts it might expand more
ive seen a shagged fudanza, it was bent and had signs of massive heat build up mainly around the bolt holes. Not sure how it had been treated though but it was enough to diswayed me from them
