No worries merlin, it could but I doubt it. The rears toe in by 2degs, which is obvious by eye and the wear is nowhere near the same, probably as I could adjust much of the negative camber out.
I was about to purchase one for my 4g as I was wearing the inside edges of my rears and was having to have the left to right swapped every 1000 miles.
A friend said get your alignment checked first so I did so at Demon Tweeks.
I had 13 degrees of negative toe before adjustment.
After, I had 0 degrees and considerably less camber, you could see the difference in camber. Don't believe me? Put your front wheels on full lock and look how much camber you have.
Moral of my story - camber does not cause uneven tyre wear, toe does.
