Really? Why do we need 2? Who would I possibly give the other one to?

Oh yea, I found out that there's just over 130 '86-'89 Aerodecks still left in the UK!! So between us, we own 2.3% of all the mk3 Aerodeck's in the UK

By the way, you might wanna change your thing to CA5, not CA4. The CA4 was the 1.6, not the 2.0 ;)

Your sure Dom? I was under the impression with the old 3rd gen Accords, that the number represented their chassis as oposed to their engine. I thought the CA4 was the Aerodeck and the CA5 was the Saloon. I've never even thought to check the VIN plate on mine

Yea, seen that video mate. I love it!!

It's like the Preludes, the model code was more defined by the engine and market than the body itself. CA1, CA2, CA3 and CA6 were JDM only. The CA4 was the Southern European 1.6 and the CA5 was the all of Europe 2.0. The engine variants in the European CA5 was either the A20A3 (cat), A20A4 (non-cat) and the B20A. I'm pretty sure yours is the same as mine with the A20A4.

Yeah, mine is definitely the same as yours. Ahh, I thought it was different for the Accord as there were different body types, where as there is only one shape of lude for each generation and the only subtle difference between the BB1 & BB4 is the 4WS which is chassis related and everything else can be the same, so it's not engine related there.

I'd not found anything CA# related that truly defines what the # actually represents (Apart from on Wikipedia, but I always take what that says with a pinch of salt).

New Rear H&R Lowering Springs And Delphi Dampeners Fitted

Post by NafemanNathan » Sat Apr 21, 2012 9:09 pm

And the back end is down now too! :D

It was a case of undoing the top arm assembly from the chassis again, to drop the suspension assembly enough down enough to get the old strut out...

Components that needed to come off to swap over came off...

They were cleaned up and the new shock was built. I completely forgot to take a picture of it before I put it on the car, but I'm sure you don't mind ;-)

So on the car it went...

And then the other side as well.

Wheels back on, and down she went.

So, this is how she looked before, with just the front end dropped...

And now...

Before...

And after...

It's hard to tell from any of these pictures, but she's got a good amount of camber now to 8) ...

I also had some bargain part worn tyres arrive the other day, which I should hopefully have fitted before Japfest... Once I've had the rims powder-coated ;-)

Looking good mate. I'll hopefully have my new rims on soon too, but you won't know what they are till they're on ;)

I have heard that with the McPherson's all round, the 'decks are real easy to get camber on :D

I was happy with the thought of one day having an H22 in the front of my Accord... It's not been done to too many.

But then I've just stumbled upon this...

RWD 3rd gen Honda Accord Hatch (CA5)

Obviously never going to happen, but just wanted to share ;-)
