Yeah if they were still glowing after that length of time id be looking at the alternator .

Seems redundant now since everyone else has already said it, but: my old 406 did exactly this before, you guessed it, the alternator promptly died. It got to the point where it would stall between gear changes sometimes when slowing down to a junction.

Has your radio started cutting out when you use the brakes or wipers yet? :lol:

Lol. My stereo/amp is on the blink at the moment. Had to pull the fuse else it just buzzes in the front left speaker. That's on the list to lol.

It's definitely pointing at the alternator then. I do have to shift quickly.

At least the battery's alright by the sounds of it.

I'm being serious. Since my engine mounts were installed my car has idled alot lower. Or maybe I'm feeling it more like a placibo.

when my alternator went it was nothing like that it just stopped working lol and then when the battery ran down i lost all power it started and ran but no power at all

Use your 4th gen one? I'm sure you only need to swap the plug in the alternator over from memory. @vtecmec it was you that said so.
