The list is too long, you might as well break it.

Got a few things done on this one, in preparation for it coming back from the bodyshop.
Existing bumper bars were sound, but pretty manky looking;

Front

After a bit of wire brushing and de-greasing;

(yes, that is actually much better!)
Image

Didn't bother treating the rust marks left after that, because it was basically just staining rather than rust.
Couple of coats of Upol Acid Etch primer in the patented spray boothe;

Image
Then couple of top coats of B&Q satin black;

Result;Image

(Eagle eyed of you might spot that the radiator grille support part is bent at each outer end - that's how it was on the car and the bumper/nostrils sat square, so I'm leaving as-is :lol: )
Image
The B&Q satin black gives a smoother finish than Halfords and smells of bubble-gum when you're applying it :lol:
:? I'm not sure that's a good thing... :?

Rear
Image
Didn't take pics of the process on this one, but much the same, wire brushed down (although this also required small bits of loose rust scraping off), degreased and ready for painting.
Decided because the rear had obviously faired much worse than the front (and unlike the front, isn't ever visible) I would revert to Dinitrol underseal;

Jobs a good 'un.

you would expect a few parts to be missing or broken when it came back from the bodyshop but not before it went in :lol:

ive got quite a few spare clips and fixings so let me know if you need any ;)

looking forward to seeing some pics when you get it back.

Good work on the bumper bars - one of the jobs I did when mine was resprayed.

I would definitely recommend a wirewheel on a drill though, soooo much quicker than the hand brushes.

Love the crossed out item on your list, 'Found!' :lol:
