I'm all good cheers Paul, yourself? My back isn't any better, not any worse either though so that's a good thing. I was on gabapentin, but due to my body being so wonderful, it just rejected gabapentin as any sort of pain killer, and just digested it as if it was just a nasty tasting M&M. Pain killers very rarely have any effect on me, so I just put up with most pains. Luckily I have a very high pain threshold which is useful being mostly immune to pain killers.
It's good that it helps with half your pains, but a real pain in the back about the rest it doesn't help (couldn't resist, sorry!!)
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

A few updates
Post by Crazy_C » Mon Aug 24, 2015 10:41 pm
OK, so a few updates on this one.
First off, I decided to uprate the safety of the bug and do a front disc brake conversion, and also lifted the front end up to go for a more gasser style look (which will be worked on more in the future)
Ignore the rusty bits! They're not structural

Also, I got fed up with the engine leaking oil as much as it did, so pulled it out, got the guy who built the longblock to have a look at it (apparently it's all ok, but got caught with a bad batch of oil coolers), so whilst the engine is out, I decided to uprate to an alternator, and run an external oil cooler system. Still working on that bit, so the engine isn't back in the bug yet, but it'll be a lot better when it's in there!
Can't remember if I mentioned it at all previously, but I've also uprated the carb to a Weber progressive 2bbl too which makes it a whole load better!!
