The leg is now able to (just) operate unassisted, though only to 75% of its range. I've been advised that without it the muscles will strengthen quicker, helping any recovery down the line when I do have the op.

What are you up to, country boy?
I've been let out of my barn and am now in what is apparently a city.

Laura got stranded with a flat tyre yesterday, today I went out to have a look at what might have caused it...

Yep, that'll do it :evil:

Nothing left in the puncture so I can only speculate on the origin, if you look at it from above though it is a perfectly straight incision and when opened out the sides are smooth. The full length of that cut has gone through the tyre.

A knife wound perhaps? Seems odd to stab a tyre in the tread rather than slash the sidewalk though :?

Absolutely gutted either way as that tyre is about a month old, and 4x4 tyres aren't cheap :(

I once had a tyre cut like that from a pot-hole's sharp edge. Broken bottles can do it, too.

Picked this up in the week and got it together yesterday;

It's a cheapo from Halfords, but still a bit of an indulgence tbh. It will help speed things up when I go over to the barn not having to dig tools out of boxes etc. though and gives me another much needed shelf to put engine stuff on!

I also fixed this up;

I had bought it very cheap used but it was missing the switch box and the pump was dubious (think it would have worked, but had a split case so I changed it). Overall still worked out cheaper than buying one that size new, so that's what matters (saving the pennies).

Nicely set up;
