Be careful with that one, for example, "I thought about getting you a birthday present" doesn't always cut it

Few electrical issue sorted out

Post by vanzep » Sun Sep 06, 2015 10:28 am

Quick update - no pics :)

Driver side fog light stopped working after changing over to the WW front bumper. Thought it might be a blown bulb so after weeks of thinking about it and getting spare parts at the ready i had a look and realised i couldnt get the fog light out without taking the front bumper off  so just wiggled a few wires and connectors and hey presto the fog light works :P

Driver side front headlight not working. Changed the bulb but that didnt make any difference so had to be the wiring which had been repaired previously. Remade the connections and that fixed it :)

Bouncing Speedo needle. Thought it might be disti so changed that over and fitted some new KV85's this didnt fix it so had to be VSS. Fitted new VSS (£18 off ebay) and problem solved. Speedo reading spot on.
This also seems to have sorted out my overfuelling issue - now when i have to overtake im not leaving a massive cloud of fuel vapour behind

Nice to get these niggles sorted out :geek:

Good stuff that things have been sorted relatively easily 8-)
I've had the vss plug packaged up in my bag all week, but not been able to get to the post office when it's open (either in places not near one or stuck in meetings early/late). I'll try and get to one at lunchtime on Monday/tuesday.
