I love the look of he braided hoses across the bay.
All done very neat, sits nicely. I think black would be too dark.

I have a crazy idea if I ever do a build like this that each hose would be colour coded depending on which system it was part of.

Would be brilliant to see thus in the flesh if you get over to the UK.

Thanx for the comment, Only thing of colour is the oil system. Don't want it in black as any leaks are hard to spot. Thats why I don't have a black oil filter or bracket either ..

Cant wait to go back and finish it.

I'm convinced it was merely the fact that your lude isn't finished yet that you didn't win LOTM. Bodywork aside (Because it's not going to be to everyone's taste) I'm sure you could now win on this picture alone...

Hello all!

Had a nice HOT weekend!?
I did In my garage it was boiling hot but lukily the wind picked up and it cooled down a bit.

Anyway, got some work done.

Bought a nice 3" 45degr silicon hose to clear the altenator and move my airfilter away from behind the radiator.
Decided the flex hose was more effecient and now the airfilter is placed directly behind an intake scoop! pics of this will follow soon.


Ditched the whole ""intake in headlamp" idea as I have enough room next to the radiator and intercooler.



Made some kind of cooling plate above my intercooler and bumper so I dont lose any air comming through the nose and nostrils.



this plate funktions as a bracket for the intercooler aswel.

This gap is left, the Hood will cover most of it but wanted it closed.




Will paint it black when my new support structure is done.

This is what it looks like with my radiator out.





Ans looking at my oilcooler behind the bumper , it left too much air past. so to improve the flow through the oilcooler I made an aluminium plate. its not a proper schroud but this will improve the airflow. love making things like this..











What Do you all think? Will I have enough cooling?

Looked into that, on the dyno the oil temperature was good . Its a small cooler.

From my experience you want a thermostatic sandwich plate and as big an oil cooler as you can fit. That way you have the best of both worlds. My oil can get pretty hot and I have a 16 row cooler installed. I will be fitting a bigger one at some point.

Mmmmm ok... Will have to get a AN10 thermostat after my oilfilter.
I do have a bigger Oilcooler from mocal, gonna see how this works first. My oil temp on the dyno was pretty low and that with my water temp over 120C.

Ahh so you have an in-line thermostat? That will do the job

I think generally you will be fine but I have seen my oil go over 120C (in truth I think it was nearer 130C but I wasn't able to give it my full attention) but that was ragging it on track. Your car will be making more power so you will have to deal with the heat.
