Rear pad carriers are STILL bloody well going on the de-rusting :evil: That stuff was thick... :? Explains why the pads were so tight and the brakes were so bad.

So, slow progress there, but the new wheel nuts I only ordered at 11:23 yesterday, have arrived :o :D :10:

They're a cheap set so don't know how long the coating will last, but they're steel so should at least be safe and will certainly smarten things up while I look around for a good deal on the ones I really want :hurr:
Purchased here for those that are interested;

And why they were needed...

:puke:
(The McGard nuts have stood up well though)

3 days in the acid dip, would have been about 3 minutes in a sand blast cabinet! :evil:

Yes, if only. :hurr:

Be careful about leaving them too long in the fluid, the metal (particularly cast) will get eaten away as well as the rust and you can loose the tolerance on the bolt holes, etc.

Excellent, I have a set of alloys that I want blasting - will you powdercoat them as well please @vtecmec? FOC, of course, as Wurly described?
