I hate to say it after the event, but... You don't need to undo those bumper mounting screws. You leave them attached and just undo the bumper bar (4 bolts from the front and 2 nuts on the back) with the bumper still attached. Much simpler that way.
Thanks Wurly, :? ;) In light of this I'm going to have a look at it in new light tomorrow, but tbh, I undid the 2 nuts where the long bolts go through, and the 2 bolts on the flat panel and the front either side of the car and it didn't want to come off, but its been off in the past by the look of things, so maybe that's got some bearing on it... but tomorrows a new day, and I've got some very expensive bolts and clips to buy from my local Honda dealers which I'm looking forward to loads.... :lol:
