Have you worked out if the 4WS on your new car works? If it doesn't work it might not be the fault of the 4WS motor, it could be something else. Best to get the 4WS light fixed to see what (if any) issue is.MaccaIRL wrote:Don't think the 4ws system on the other one is damaged so may try and swap it but knowing my luck it'll be completely drokked
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I've tried it and the back wheels don't turn at any speed or even stationaryMerlin wrote:Have you worked out if the 4WS on your new car works? Haven't checked relay etc yet but no bulb comes on with ignition and the steering really is light as drokk in comparison
Makes me think the prev owner has modified it and taken out the PS lines

My thoughts were the pump only has to put fluid to 2 wheels instead of 4 so would be lighter
I don't know lol
The 4ws lude i had was heavier steering for deffo than this thing and it's only 2ws
Edit: think you misunderstood my post earlier lol
What I meant was maybe they removed the PS lines to the rear therefore halving the strain on the pump or whatever making it a "lighter" steering wheel

In all seriousness, previous owner probably removed the 4ws bulb.
Try to replace it and do a reset
