4ws questions

Post by MaccaIRL » Sun Jun 14, 2015 4:07 pm

Hey again
So after I rolled the black prelude I got another of the same year and model

Both 98 prelude 2.2 vti but the new one doesn't seem to have 4ws

Any idea how I can check to see if it's been disabled or if the light has came on and they've pulled the bulb and so on

Looking underneath at the rear looks the exact same to me on both, same diff looking box in the centre and so on

Any help appreciated, did a search but didn't find anything, saying that tapatalk plays up on me alot

i dont know if its the same on the 5th, but on the 4th the light should come on and go off when you turn the key to indicate everything is ok, if the light doesnt come on at all its worth pulling the clocks to check the bulb and go from there.

Yeah no light on this one
Just a bit odd and everything feels a hell of a lot lighter

well i have 4ws and when its off the car feels much heavier and kind of dead steering wise, can you see the steering rack at the back?. Looking towards the front from the rear bumper you should see the steering rack, a 2ws has no steering rack just the metal subframe.
The 4ws computer should be behind the drivers side rear sidepanel and the wiring should be behind the rear seat attached to the metal frame.

Thanks merc ill have a look tonight
Might upload a pic but honestly looks the exact same as the black one

Also for an unknown reason the steering feels almost as light to me as an ep civic :/

Steering with 4ws felt alot heavier than the current one, more solid too lol
I'll get a pic tonight of the rear and if any of you can give me your 2 cents that would be amazeballs

Indeed it is :(
Gonna try and get most of that off and underseal the balls off it
Don't think the 4ws system on the other one is damaged so may try and swap it but knowing my luck it'll be completely drokked
