Hey alinton,Greg here from Adverts.ie,small world.
I done a solder reflow on my last prelude that had the same problem, mine wouldn't display either gauges til 10 mins or so from start.
Bypassed the dimmer too.
It didn't work and i lived with it.
Swap out is best for a win.

@alinton. Morning mate, apologies for not getting back to you sooner but had a real busy day yesterday. I think it's best if I 'un-dib' myself as I see from your ad that you're only looking for someone to collect. Sorry mate, I should have read your ad more carefully.
Obviously, given my location, it's going to be a bit of an issue to come and collect it. Hope someone snaps it up from you soon.

In which case postage would be more than a tenner, but I'm quite happy to post anyway.
That would be a hard problem to find, as you'd need to be able to power up the module while youve got access to the component side of the pcb and can see. The displays.
Then you could attack it with a fine heat gun and/or freezer spray, to find where the almost certain dry joint or dodgy component is.
If someone had a spare bit of loom you could make a test jig up that would illuminate the dials and lights.
