I've not really looked at one, but surely it should be baffled so that you're not starved of oil under acceleration?... It's for drag after all.
Ok yeah, I've actually acknowledged the lay out now.

This is a useful link I sent to Phil recently...

Interesting read. The gearbox stiffener is not a problem in the 4th gen as it is not as big as the 5th gen "thing" pictured in that thread.

What is this car going to be used for?

I have read this before. problem I think is the increased area at the back ( were the drain plug is) will fill up when accelerating. But yes the extra oil from behind the trap door will give you more oil.
Sides are less sloped so theoraricly it will not go sideways as much during hard cornering.
I will think about this when I'm laying by the pool in Bali guys..

Talk to yall in two weeks 8-)

time for a update!

Been working on the cooling system adn because I moved the oilcooler and intake piping I finally had space for a bigger oil catch can.

Together with the oil return from the cooler it makes a nice set of lines.

Cachcan is a 1 liter from Torques UK. with new AN fittings.

Oilfilter is still at the same place only turned 90 degree. oilcooler is derectly behind the bumper intake.
Charge piping is much more effecient now with less bends and connections.

I am modifying a new bumper frame with a bracket for the intercooler and a cooling plate to duct the air.
I have installed a new 14"pull fan ( thanx Nathan) So i will be using a 14 'and a 12"as there is not enough room for two 14"fans. Wiring is done now for the front. (removed my Xenon and had to wire the second fan)

My welder is making me a front support brace to be fitted just behind my radiator . to get some strength back at the top part.
Its very difficult as it has to fit underneath the radiator hose.
Also a baffle plate for my oil pan is on its way.
last but not least, got some JDM one piece headlights. not sure If im going to make a intake out of it. might be able to duct some cold air without ruining a set of lights.

Getting close to starting it up again!
Next week its going to be very hot on my days off so think I might be spending it on the beach with some chill house grooves and a cold beer...... :D

Till soon!

I'm convinced it was merely the fact that your lude isn't finished yet that you didn't win LOTM. Bodywork aside (Because it's not going to be to everyone's taste) I'm sure you could now win on this picture alone...

Very cool 8)

And the beach and beer idea sounds great! :) I'm off on holiday myself next week :D
