Adjustable shock absorbers.

Post by Thebusofwoe » Sun May 24, 2015 4:09 pm

Hi guys.

Couple questions. What are the best, most affordable adjustable shock absorbers to use? And best place to buy them from. Or, if anyone has any for sale?

Cheers chaps :)

2nd hand Konis come up for sale every so often and as they can be picked u for a bargin price
new is a different story with Konis costing about £800 for the set and thats without springs.

tiens are also reliable and affordable at £200-£400 for a used set and they cost about £900 new

Ksports - seem to be a few issues with this brand but again £200-£400 for a used set.

meisters seem to be gaining in popularity
if it is for track then save up and get the same meisters as @Merlin bought recently...come to think about he may have a set of used tiens for sale.

Yea cheers chaps. I am pretty sure hes already sold those to Greeny. Ok so keep eye out for second hand konis or tiens then. I had a look at spax adjustables at £130 a shock. Not bad price but any good?? :?

doubt the spax shocks would be much better than OEM
I have 3 spare konis fully built up and poly bushed but still to find the 4th one which has gone walkabouts as it got put to one side as it needed some work done to it.
If i can find the 4th one and decide to sell them then i will drop u a pm ;)

Speak to Tegiwa about Yellowspeeds

I'm thinking of getting the race coilovers if my JIC's cannot be serviced

I may be buying the Yellowspeeds so what would you offer for the JIC's without springs?

After looking around it would seem that there is no point in buying Adjustable shocks. Will be buying yellowspeeds and a Traction Bar in one go. Theres a nice 1k right there 8-)
