Yep, it's a nightmare when next doors builders mistake your skip for the one they should be using

jjmartin can I ask what did you clean your headlamps with and are they plastic or glass?

The headlights are plastic, and seem to be particularly prone to clouding up - you see a lot of Passats and A6's this age with manky headlights.paul bristol uk wrote:jjmartin can I ask what did you clean your headlamps with and are they plastic or glass?
I used the Meguiars kit to clean them up, I can't remember the name as I chucked the packaging but it contained 2 double sided sanding pads (4 grades of grit between them), a buffing attachment for a drill and some compound for polishing them with.
My only criticism is that the pads are small and after restoring only 4 lights they are delaminating slightly. I think they'd benefit from starting on a coarser grade too as it would speed up the removal of deep scratches. Other than that it's not bad, it's good for lazy people like me who can't be bothered to choose a few different grades of paper themselves

Mrs Sailor came in from the garden complaining that the mower was getting harder to push and also harder to start. I did what every good husband should: I bought her a new mower.
That was 20 years ago and now the casing's broke. Even duct tape didn't work. Does nothing last these days?
I should have bought a Honda.

Or a goat?

Goats surely don't live 20 years either?
Although now I think about it, tortoises probably don't eat that much grass.
