Firstly, if it's running fine without knocking, I see no reason at all to panic. With the amount of work you've done, I'm not surprised if it's shedding some swarf.
Secondly, you have nothing to lose by refilling and trying it again. Check the turbo bearings and if they're ok, go for it.
Did you give it any gentle running in at all (for how long?) before it got thrashed on the dyno?

I'd have expected a little swarf after a big build with a significant amount of new parts.

Ok.. Makes sense .. Did run it in low rpm little boost .
The guy I use has lots of experience. Did say it had a little detonation. Probably due the temperature and sparkplugs . Will check the turbo 2.
Lots to do and now even more!
Thanx guys..

Looks fine. Oil never stays clear especially on a boosted engine. Also i expect the swarf if just the engine running it.
Continue in the tune and make sure its solid. You will be fine.

Hey man, sorry to see this, you have put a lot of work into it.
Could you find out exact material and clearance your arias pistons are made of? 130degrees is a lot and it looks to me that your pistons were very near seize point.
Did you do any break-in on the engine before wot tune, changed the oil at least once inbetween, etc?

As said by some of the other guys. Don't panic just yet. Start panicing if you see larger chunks of swarf, not fine particle from a freshly build motor
You're doing the right thing cleaning it out though. What are you going to flush it out with?

@Brozilla,
We have ran it in the first 70 km with low rpm and partial throttle. Only did two ( well 3 when the pipe blew off) at full throttle and high rpm.
Don't know the piston information do know the oil temperature was fine!
What I'm thinking is:
clean the oilpan.
I'm going buy some cheap mineral oil .
Fill it up and cranck the engine with a new oilfilter.
Then drain the oil , clean the pan again and change the filter. Fill it with some more running in oil.
Any other ideas?
Guys on the DUTCH honda forum are also saying its kinda normal on a fresh engine.

Sounds like a plan. I was just making sure you weren't intending to use any flushing agents.gb-lude wrote:What I'm thinking is:

right..
Made a new to-do list.. its long.....
Got some cheap mineral oil and have a long list to order on ebay but going on holiday first and don't want to body lemonade off the neighbours
My left outer CV boot had a massive cut in it.. everything was covered in grease..
Took everyting apart and decided I was gonna change the axel instead of just the boot. luckily I have lots of spare axels.
When I pulled it out the inner boot got stuck and I pulled the CV joint appart.. and found this:

so A good thing I changed it
next my friend came over with a new radiator! Got two 12"slimfans to go with it:

Now I went from a cooling problem to a space problem!

after a few cuts:

test fit

Today I fabricated a bracket to hold the intercooler and radiator. took me a while to think of it and test fit the bumper but its very strong! I can stand on it! This will also make a nice base for the front splitter.
Will make some custom alu radiator stays for the top aswell.
What do you guys think? Is it going to weaken the front structure? A have looked into making a new support beam but thre isn't enough room.
I did not mount the intercooler directly against the radiator this time.

Smashed a headlight to start my cold air feed project. Have some JDM lights I want to use but rather use a regular light to test.

Last but nog least: WINDOW FITTED .. finnaly! thanx for the tip on using the 5th gen surround.. saved me lots of money!!
