Air ride

Has anyone used air ride before? Iv lowered my golf but think air ride looks cool idea instead, just not sure on it.

I haven't done it to any of my cars, but I have ridden in a couple and I think you summed it up above - it LOOKS cool, but your ride/handling will be compromised..

Depends what you're in to though - form or function.

I dont really drive it that hard as it's my daily but it does have a good bit if power behind it, might have to just deal with the springs iv put on, shame seens how it looks ace.

If you aren't chucking it around a track then you'll probably be fine on bags.. just be prepared to take abuse from the static drop boys.

What generation golf is it? Because, iirc, the mk4 golf will need audi tt drop links (either those or the anti roll bar - can't remember which) otherwise the arb will foul the drive shafts

Mine is a mk4 it's the GT TDI. I did read that the arb would need swoping, seen some take it out to go mega low. Don't really want to buy brand new due to the mad cost.

You could remove it altogether (but I don't know if you'd get it through an mot like that nor how it'd affect the general driveability of the car) or, I'm sure there'll be some tt's breaking for parts. I recently broke my golf which had one fitted on it (I don't know why-it was stock) but nobody wanted it when I put it up so it went with the car when I scrapped it lol

Every time I see a lowered Golf, the rear wheels always seem to sit too far forward in the arch..

Mot don't worrie me lol, it's the safety side of it, I'll have to look into it a little more, shame I didn't know you was breaking a golf.
