wired up the turbo timer today :)

may ASWELL do a quick how to aswell is I took so many pics.

Not sure if I posted when the gauges and pod was installed, but I drilled a hole in the dash for the wires so just stuck the turbo timer control onto the pod and fed the wire through the dash to the steering column.

Now, I have this plug

But since I don't have a harness..
Image

We won't be needing that :)

The green wire will be tapped into the ignition wire (black & yellow)
The blue wire will go to accessories wire (Yellow)
The red wire will go to the constant battery wire (white)

I didn't want to just go ahead a cut the wires so I just made a seperation in the rubber
Image

Then made a space with a flat head

Image

I know.. Pretty ghetto :(
Only thing I'm worried about is any heat coming through so went and got some good rubber tape for the job !!

Image

Image

Connected up the blue wire and taped up nicley

Image

Then the red wire to the constant..

Before I wired everything I wondered where to put the box..

Image

And found out, that it fits perfectly in here :)

Image

All that was left was to wire up the ground, which I just tapped into the gauges ground for and the handbrake..

Image

So fed the wire under the plastics and a bit of carpet and just put the handbrake release sensor over the grey wire.

Image

Stuck the plastics back on and We are all done :)

Apexi turbo timer for N/A cars? Why? ..not why have you got it, but why do they make them for non-turbo cars?

Also, you need a soldering iron!

..but good job dude, Donna is one lucky lady ;)

because some n/a cars run a ton of power, take Merlins for example, that would also benefit for a cooling down period after use :)

I was thinking about getting one for the shows to stop people going into the bay etc.
if I can find one I might just lol

Got our minds set on a Carbon fiber one without vents and just having the dump tube exposed :)

Got donnas battery delivered this morning

Image

First thing I done was fit the breaker & Cut the the cable to the right size and fitted the ring connectors..

Image

Breaker is bolted through the plastic and sits solid aloge with the batt :)

Image

Just need to find a suitable earth cable, got one sitting about, and clean up the plastics and the batt relocation is done :)

I will post a finished pic soon :)

Saving up money for the remap and tyres so haven't been able to spare much cash atm :(

But since I need to get water and oil in the engine we got new hoses :)

Image

Still to get the T-clamps in the post but the rest are all fitted and just the two rad hoses that need clamped..

Image

Image

We were going to get bright green ones, but we agreed after a long debate and Photoshop that it would be too much out of place.
Glad we got purple in the end :)
