4g not starting after key release

The white switch you have pictured above turns with the barrel, it connects to the pin on the barrel, you can turn the switch by itself. Will click twice as if turning the key two positions, the 3rd turn is same as key as well as it will spring back to position two.
Test it on the spare you have and you will see what I mean.

tested both the ignition switches for their position @newkid and they were both set correctly
swapped the ignition switch for the spare @wurlycorner at tea time today and BOOM!!! car started
