Anyone to do my Brakes discs/pads.

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Anyone to do my Brakes discs/pads.

Post by nitin_s1 » Sun Apr 26, 2015 2:56 pm

Anyone free to do my brakes discs/pads and also my cv joint boot.

Of course I will pay for your time and can be your assistant during the day. :scaredtoss:

The work needs doing on the Civic. I will get all the parts that needs fitting ready for the day.

Let me know if anyone can come before I take it to my local garage who will change me lots. :(

Edit: the reason I ask for help is because I can't pass the mot without the brakes and I need it done before I go through the mot again.

If your own garage is expensive, try Enfield crash repairs, I get them to do all my work and they are very reasonable, they have never over charged me, Genti and Eri are two sound fellas

Basically, when I can get them done then I can take the cargo the MOTer to have it through there.

Mate, normally it would be a pleasure to help, you could come round here and we could attack it at the garage, but I'm so busy with stuff at the moment :(
When's your deadline?

There is no deadline. The car has ran out of Tax and MOT. So soon as I can get the brakes on the car then I can get the car to a garage and run it through the MOT again.

I'll be off for a whole week on the 11th may so maybe I can tackle it then.

Seriously mate, watch a youtube 'how-to' video first, spray something like PlusGas on the bolts an hour before you have a go, then just go for it. You'll be surprised how simple a job it really is.. and then you can feel proud that you have done it yourself :) ..and trust me, you won't need a whole week

I just watched loads of Videos on youtube and it does seem very easy. But taking out the CV joint to put the new gaiter thing around it looks hard to do.. :?
