looking forward to getting them fitted to the slipstreams...
the new wheels will take me back to stock size and lower the ride height on the car by an inch and improve handling a fair bit...

met up with @newkid as he had just bought Dbo's saffy and went for run and took a few photos of the ludes

They look very grippy. Nothing like new rubber on to feel the roads.
Also cars are looking good.

I do agree yours does need a be a bit lower though 8-)

cheers buddy i do like the look of the potenzas and they were the same price as mid range brands such as toyo
tread depth looks to be a bit shallower and they are fairly heavy tyres at 9 kilos but that should be offset by the lighter wheels which come in at under 5 kilos :)

With a few different emulsions I reckon you could create quite the aztec boarder with those tyres ;)

Looking forward to seeing the slip streams fitted :)

Re: BB4 Rotas and Bridgestones

Post by vanzep » Wed Apr 29, 2015 2:08 pm

Went to @3rd Gen Steve new garage this morning and had the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002's fitted to my Rota Slipstreams.
So im running 15x7's with 205/55/R15's.
Although its difficult to tell it has dropped the overall height of the car by an inch from previous winter setup.
Handling feels good but as it was pissing down when i left im an yet to explore the limits of dry grip :)
Wheels are balanced to perfection and it was a real pleasure to see Steve working the new tyre fitting machine he has bought 8-)

cheers nafe - got a spare set of euro sides or wings west sides to choose from - the wings west ones need a bit of work to them as the previous owner had put bolts through the sides of them and bolted directly to the chassis - why they would need to do that is beyond me

it does look like the suspension is still to settle a bit - maybe its becasue the konis are are max stiffness - i might have to back them off a bit and see if it drops down :?
