Thanks for the advice. Im going to try tackeling it myself. ill let you guys know how it goes.bennyboy wrote:SorryBut it's a sealed system, if you are losing fluid you basically have a problem and it's most likely to be one of those two I'm afraid.
Neither are massively expensive or difficult to fix, but an extra bod is handy especially when bleeding it after.

I had the same issue on mine. Needed a new clutch and slave due to worn seals. Had to bob out a fair price for Honda to get the parts in and fit them.
Had I known a bit more about them at the time I would have done it myself but as it was my only car I wanted it done and done properly.
Grave you noticed the clutch pedal getting slack or loose? If so sure fire sign your'll need a replacement. Fill her up with fluid and get it checked ASAP.

I have changed the fluid and it is selecting the gears fine for now. The pedal is still very soft tho so I think im going to need to look at master/slave. Cant affford to go to honda ATM tho.bennyboy wrote:SorryBut it's a sealed system, if you are losing fluid you basically have a problem and it's most likely to be one of those two I'm afraid.

IM BACK!!Drax wrote:you'll be back, they always come back![]()
After a few months off the road an with no real plans for the ol' gal, I got a new job which has allowed me more time and money to work on the car which is great.
I have replaced the clutch fluid and it has fixed the car... for now. Changed 3 fuses an now everything is working well.
Somehow it managed to pass its MOT with only a few minors.
Now its down to the cosmetics to get her looking back to showroom condition.... well maybe somewhere close

Great to be back in the car and back on the site.
