Yes, it is. The drain hole is lower down on the other side of the shaft.

Double check you put those stupid square bearings back in exactly the right way round or you'll regret it mate..

Mec, there is no way that can be your pic of the fill plug...
The box is dirty!!

And yep bludge, the driveshafts just lever out. Try to lever them evenly from 2 opposite sides at once, that's the surest way of making sure the pop out with minimum effort.
