Try taking a look the current gap between the tyre and hub arm. Use that as a reference for calculating how much further in you can afford to go.

why 10's ???? if it was a rwd i could understand going that wide all round, or if it was a drag car i could understand 10's on the front. It will be a lot slower due to the extra friction caused by the extra rubber as well, i know it wont be a lot slower but slow is slow.

I have a wide arch kit for the 5th and i am in 2 minds over it but i am going for big power and possibly a big conversion so it will work with it.

You won't rub on the I side with that width and offset. 17x9 et 45 still clears the inside front.

Mercutio just curious u got a pic of that kit? I just wanted to fill out those arches so was going for 10j and stretched tyres, I know not everyone is a fan but prob 215 40 17

This is a 215 40 17 on a 10j wheel - so yeah, REALLY don't do it.. you're not driving a Golf!
