I want it painted and a few other bits doing ready to bolt on over a weekend so I can still use my car daily

If that is your plan I would take the opportunity to do a load of jobs that are usually a pain the ass since you will have to remove loads to get the head off. New timing and balance belts, axillary belts, balance shaft seal, water pump, cam end seals, distributor seal, new crank pulley bolt and/or woodruff key (maybe), new head studs etc...?

@chris167 the head itself is 17kg and UPS will deliver for £12 with basic cover
