I always preferred Confused as their prices were usually the best for me and places like Go Compare would refuse to quote on modified vehicles. I've been insuring the Prelude with Adrian Flux for years and now Sky Insurance as they have provided the best prices by MILES, you need to get quotes directly from them however.

I'd forgotten about Confused. £421. What is up with Meerkat? I've checked over everything and cannot find any disparity. :?

They all vary depending on the specific quote (though I don't know why, the deal should be the same for the comparison site with the premium only being determined by the insurers quote engine) but yeah, most of the time I've compared them confused has given me the best premium/quality of cover (I'm not having £250+ excesses...)

I find Direct Line to be both helpful and good value.
For Jan, who's a long way less ancient, the best price we found on the mini was at Flux.

I always ask SKY for a quote because I do like to have a really hearty laugh at least once a year.

I call honda for prices on things like gaskets for the same reason

Confused seem to offer the best deals for me.

I have paid under 300 for both the 32hate and the surf. both are big vehicles and I am not that old so I am happy with that.

And dont forget that confused are sending out FREE BRIAN TOYS with every policy purchase.......

Now, I couldn't give a monkey spu-nky handshake for a free piece of plastic shitee but ''people'' are paying over £40 for them on ebay :? so thats my premium down to under £250

it should be mentioned that adding NCB protection actually TOOK OFF £20 from the final price this year......... :? :D so its always worth clicking every option to see what works.

Direct Line were cheap for me in the first year I held a policy with them, then at renewal my premium jumped by a fair amount. I phoned up to argue the toss as I hadn't made a claim or gained any endorsements, the guy on the end of the phone said in no uncertain terms 'we give a 1/3rd off the premium in the first year to win business, then the full premium applies in the second year'. I asked him to re-quote my premium as it was way above quotes I'd had elsewhere and I'd cancel my renewal if they didn't at least match my lowest quote, they refused to lower my quote and told me I'd have to go elsewhere if I wanted cheaper  :tosser:

I had an immense job trying to get cover for my 2 last year, just when I'd given up hope of ever getting cover under £800 I got cover with Adrian Flux for both cars comp at £495.00 a blinding deal I thought, and its due again in June, lets hope its still as good :?

Like everything the key is to always shop around, even when you get a rare insurer that keeps giving you great prices under normal circumstances.

Adrian Flux were always giving me great renewal prices every year, then it went up significantly after I had my 1st at-fault accident a few years back. It then went up considerably after I got 3 points on my license for a questionable tire tread offense on my motorbike last year. That's when I got a brilliant price from Sky. Adrian Flux then counter-quoted slightly lower, which showed they had shafted me the last year and had tried to do even worse again so I stuck with Sky for now.

That'll learn 'em!

TBH I don't know why everyone is discussing their insurance prices and who's with who when, as we know, they'll all very specific to your location, occupation etc. I was just trying to figure out why I got 4 different prices for the same company.
