also finished up cleaning the start and alternator and sprayed those, i also did the H-Series engine mount in black.
we also learnt my template making skills were not the best and i drokked the drill bit we needed also

so after a quick dash to B&Q for some cutting disks this is where we are, Morf is to finish the kit up in the week and next weekend will see the sol fired up for the first time in a few months and the last time as a B16 as we will start the removal process. we will hopefully complete the remaing parts of the kit and engine modification to allow correct alignment.
here are some not so good pics of what we did this weekend:

also fitted the EGR block plate

i also got a JDM P13 Spoon chip copy from Rob on the lude-generation forum for future use and testing once the engine is in and running. this is not you £!0 ebay piece of bum droppings this is a proper copy of the Spoon ECU chip as can be seen on this thread.
this will hopefully replace the SuperChip chip that is currently in my ECU.

cheers for looking all.....

That white gunk inside the cooling channels is either corrosion build up or silicate deposits from the cooling system not being flushed properly before changing coolant type. Either way, not a problem provided you give it a good flush and clean this time.
Not sure I advise petrol in a pressure washer though

Honestly not normally a del Sol man but this looks like it'll be great. Brilliant work.
Also, that exhaust header is tremendous!
