There is an annoying rattle coming from my passenger side door when driving. I had the door card off and tightened a few screws but I couldn't see or feel anything obvious as to what was causing it.
Having done some more investigation I think it might be something to do with the window as it only does it with the window up, if the window is down it doesn't do it. Has anybody had anything like this before? Any suggestions?
Luckily I tend to play my music quite loud and you can’t hear it then, but it is just one of those low grade annoyances that I would like to sort out if I can.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Normally IME, rattles on 4g doors are the backing bracket for the internal door handles, where it bends back and only a small part makes contact with the door skin.
Top left hand bit on this picture;

Having the window open/closed affects that, because it alters how far in/out the top of the door skin is pushed.
When you have the door rattling, pull or push on the back of the internal door handle to see if you can stop it.

Thanks for the input everyone.
After spending 2 hours inspecting the internals of the door, tightening things, taking things apart and putting them back together I thought I had fixed it. As Iain suggested above I could replicate a rattle on part of the door handle mechanism, so I put some sound deadening material behind there thinking that would be that.
I drove down the road and the rattle was still there. For some reason I decided to hit the passenger seat and then I heard the rattle again. So it was never coming from the door in the first place, but the passenger seat
If you hit the back of the seat (where the passenger's back would be) you can hear it. For the time being I have put the seat as far back as it would go and reclined it so it is touching the seat behind. This has stopped the rattle as it can't move anywhere. I will have to have a look at it properly at some point, but I am just pleased I have got rid of it for the moment. If someone sits in the passenger seat it has the same effect and you can't hear the rattle.

Well that's a result - at least you've tracked it down
The seat back isnt too bad, either, because at least most of the cover unzips open.
