Re: Another Track 4th gen - Coombe track Day-More Vids

Post by Thebusofwoe » Sun Sep 14, 2014 1:46 pm

Here is some more Vids guys. This is all the footage I have of the Day :D :D :D Enjoy. @W1ggz

First session. Was a wee bit damp 8-)

Second Session. . . .

Third Session . . .

I have timed a best lap of 1:28. I don't think that's too bad considering the setup 8-)

This is footage of what I took, and what my Brother in law took from the track side. I skipped out a session to both let the car cool and record a bit of Dan going around. The 3rd Session for me I was on my own while KJ filmed all 3 of us. Just listen to the ludes soundtrack. Feckin sexual 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Cheers :D

Another Track 4th gen - Coombe track Day prep :)

Post by Thebusofwoe » Mon Mar 16, 2015 11:29 pm

Hi guys and gals.

Been a while since an update. We had our 3rd baby recently so have been caught up in that :)

Well I haven't got much done since the last track day at coombe which detonated my alternator  :x

I have now got that sorted, thanks again to @Bludge. @GreenyUK I'm still in the process of re building your spare  8-)

Ok so I wanted to sort a load of stuff out before the next track day but this came up cheap on Facebook via @W1ggz so I had to book in. £150 for the whole day open pit lane. 8-) 8-)

So what I've done so far is get all the brakes stripped out and cleaned up. Look like the pads took a right beating last time out :?

Do pads really go like that :? Hawk HP + pads :?

After cleaning them all up I bled the system through with this 8-) 8-)

Image
Expensive stuff that

I've also fitted the ATR Throttle body, re seal the IACV valve, fit a silicon TB pipe to the CDA. I've still got to make a hose take off for the breather.

Image
8-)

Got a set of Unorthadox lightweight pulleys but have only fitted the PS and ALT pulleys as I'm unsure on the crank pulley. :? 8-)

Next on the list was tyres. Got me 4 of these fitted and ready for action 8-) 8-)

Image
I noticed that the budget road tyres where loosing grip last time out
I wanted to sort better suspension out but I can't afford it right now. So I'm getting it 4 wheel aligned tomorrow. Hopefully drive better. Fitted other bits here and there, better HT leads, re painted rocker cover, ect.

Missus got me a nice Go Pro for Xmas. Real nice bit of kit this. Spent some money on that and setting up filming positions  8-)

Should get a nice bit of footage with that.

Well that's just about it for now. I have decided to tow the lude to coombe on Friday on a trailer with the trooper. My dad has been kind enough to tow it for me until I do my towing licence in a few months time 8-) Should be a fun day. I'll leave you with a cheeky panoramic of "work in progress" 8-)

Thanks chaps :D :D :D

Great stuff bud, cant wait to get out on track again 8-)

I need to sort a go pro mount out for mine as well but last time i was out we were told permanent mounts only, no stuck on ones. Have you heard that anywhere else? I think that was the organiser of the days rules as i've never had it at Bedford before then.
