And what's wrong with Honda Walnut trim? Does it age badly?

It's a man-made polymer.

Wonder if an upholsterer, woodworker could make up genuine walnut panels to replace the plastic Honda ones?

:old:

Yes but you might as well just go ahead and buy a rover coupe mate. You seem to have wandered into a honda forum by mistake... :P

Walnut trim

Well that was the nicest paint I have ever worked with. The damn think has 48.5k on it and all of thats been in the dry and the rest of the time its been in a garage I reckon. Even the middle of the roof didnt dirty the claybar seriously. You could see ancient residue coming off (the brown roof stuff you get on the bar but very light in colour and minor) so you know its genuine but there was none of that grittyness to work through. It just went on silky and came off silkier. Very impressed.
But for the areas prone to road tar specs it almost didnt need it... 17 year old car almost didnt need clay bar.. :D happy new owner.

If my girlfriend wants to come along then I probably will have to bring them, although if I can offload them on family I will because they're a handful  the one in the photo doesn't like standing still outdoors and I'm not sure I fancy having to take him for a walk straight after he gets out the car, it wouldn't be very social of me

And LLL is on the money RE walnut trim, there's no place for it in a 25 year old's car ;)

I'm showing my age, loved my old rovers at one time. May be the reason I'm hesitating between a R75 and an Accord if my 3g ever goes bang!! But then, old Rovers had real walnut, not plastic imitation. Ahhh, the smell!! Leather and Walnut!!

Had a feeling that one would provoke hoots of derision. Not yet at the slippers and pipe stage yet, LLL. Anyway, you coming to the meet next Sunday. Age-wise, I remember, and drove, P5's and P6's but not P4's or cyclops'. And I would get an Accord before a 75, any day.

Pipe or slippers aside my dad maybe had one and I'm 37............

I wont be at the meet. Its a 2hour drive and I have lots to do to move house. If its sunny i'll be painting. If not i'll be in the pub waiting for it to stop
