Microbe induced corrosion, yep. Some species form sticky biofilms (nasty examples: Listeria, Shigella).wurlycorner wrote:Corrosion? quark, sorry not got back to you. I think you've sorted them already, but anyway just to respond - I do have the driveshafts but I'm keeping them I'm afraid (3x 4g's on the road, sensible things to keep as spare considering how much they cost to replace on these!).
@vtecmec - rear hub stripped down as per text, pics of the stub axle below;

That's it completely un-cleaned, as it came apart. Looks grubby but it's in good nick. I'll get it posted off tomorrow unless you spot something you're not happy with
@Senninha
I'll have to check on the nostrils. I think the set that came off this are still dibs'd to either @prahunt or @ddoubledanny (I forget which right now
)
The spoiler is in generally good nick, but the paint isn't immaculate - couple of pics;

A lot of what you can see there is dirt actually, but you can see there's a scratch that's been (badly) touched up before and some light scrapes along the bottom edge.
I can take some more if you're interested and look into postage etc.
