Right, power problem.
Met the sparky over there on Tuesday in my lunch break. Turned out that the neutral in the isolator and socket, wasn't a neutral, it was an earth
a black earth
Anyway, he ran a new neutral in and we elected to hard-wire the ramp into the isolator (easiest option
).
I didn't have any time to mess about, 'cause it was just a lunch break and I had crap to do in the afternoon, so just checked the phases were the right way round (motor spinning the right way) and fortuitously, they were
Back there today
Lift off!

Extricating the trailer on my own was fun!
I think some modification of the entry ramps is required

(ps yes, not bothered to clean up the remnants of the shuttering yet
)
Couple of bits of timber did for a quick fix and I decided to try something light for starters (ps the boot and back seat were full of tools and lude parts
)

So, not all bad
Look mum, no hands!

Then I spotted one deliberate mistake;

(
crossed wires - literally, which meant I didn't fancy lowering it back down all the way, with the load on it) however, I needed to take the load off the ropes (the main bed) so I could undo them from the bottom and swap them over...

Challenging...
Nothing a pallet and some bits of wood can't solve though!

Sorted

And that was it!
So, so chuffed...
Thank you so much to @jjmartin349571 for the help taking it down and for @4thgenphil, @Donald and @Blackmwack for your help with putting it back together.
Owe you all loads for your help

Looking good.
Just one question, though... why is it so close to the walls? Surely that'll make doing any work down the right hand side of the car more difficult that it should be?
Sometimes my dad has too much rubbish down the side of his ramp, and we're left with more space than you've got, and it's really difficult - even just re-fitting a wheel becomes more difficult without enough room to bend down, pick up the wheel and hold it in front of you without bumping up against the stuff at the side.
An extra couple of feet towards the middle of the barn would have been a massive improvement for usability, IMO.

Because I share the barn (could never afford it otherwise). I only have 'half' of it, although at the mo I'm actually over that
any further over and I wouldn't have been able to park another car next to it (amount of parking space is crucial for me!
)
There is actually plenty of space down the side against the wall tbh - more would always be nice, but it's a decent working width, doesn't give me any problems. There's actually less down the other side!
One thing I really do need to improve under there is lighting...
