Discs, calipers and carriers of your choice1337Htune wrote:What do i need to put 300mm discs ?

If changing only calipers then the advantage is only you get 2 pot caliper but you will stay with 282 discs. Also you need to install longer pistons or small 5mm IIRC extension rings as discs for ATR and Prelude have different thickness. If you swap it with carriers then like merc said you also need ATR discs. All plug and play.1337Htune wrote:I read ATR Calipers (17CL16VN), do i need to change the braket ?

Not really like you have said. Bigger diameter discs need caliper to be set further away so need to change carriers only. But if you wanna change discs for thicker ones then you must go for new calipers and carriers in most cases.
Yes buddy. It's plug and play1337Htune wrote:Is the ATR calipers bolt-on on 5G with the correct thickness of disc/braket
I have callipers from Legend on my car. They also work, but I had to swap sides otherwise I wouldn't be able to bleed them as bleeder would be on the bottom instead of top of caliper. As you can see pots in calipers are different size. Some people says smaller should be first if you looking on spinning discs otherwise it will result on uneven pads wear. So far I didn't noticed this. It is also plug and play mod.1337Htune wrote:Can i put 17CL15VN calipers from Legend (38/42mm) on the 28T braket from ATR or other Acura/Honda ?
I've heard about Civic R calipers which takes 300mm discs as well and somebody here is using them on IIRC his 4gen just because of 4 stud pattern discs. You can also go for spoon, brembo nd other known brands but this may require some custom work.
My recommendation when upgrading brakes is
- change your brake fluid for somethig good ( I'm running RBF600 but there are other),
- use braided lines,
- do good service for your existing calipers with a lot of attention to rears,
- good pads
and you should be happy for daily use.
Also remember that brake bias is set to front so if you will upgrade fronts only then it will be moved even more to front. Without upgrading rear brakes this mod doesn't make sense for me. When we were on Nurburgring after small bashing on local roads my fronts get so hot so it was smoking from both arches when we stopped. It never happened again after I started running 290mm discs on rear axle
